Why a separate AI process instead of everything inside the EA
MT4’s scripting language (MQL4) is not built for machine learning workloads. Rather than cram a compromised version of the decision engine into the EA itself, LORENTZIAN splits the job in two: the EA handles execution, order management, and risk controls on the MT4 side, while The Brain runs as its own process and handles the actual pattern-matching and scoring. The two talk to each other over a local connection on your own machine — nothing leaves your PC, and nothing depends on an external server staying online.
Setup takes about ten minutes if you’re comfortable with MT4’s Data Folder and Expert Advisor permissions — the guide walks through every step, including the one setting people most often miss (enabling DLL imports, which the EA needs to launch the AI engine automatically).
